The reason for our distraction!

On a serious note, we went for a holiday in July 2024 and as soon as we returned home Van1 resigned from his job and accepted an offer from another company. That acceptance necessitated a huge move.
Van1 went ahead to our new home while I stayed behind to pack up our old home and tie up loose ends.
We’ve been exploring our new home and, though we haven’t been posting stories here or on Lit, we have been coming up with new plot lines and even doing some writing. Our new home is very inspiring!
I will get back in the editing saddle and get something of Van1’s ready for you in the near future.
Quick question for you all.
Would any of you be interested in either a short story, or serialised story, that doesn’t involve a Loving Wife?

Your stories are among my all-time favorites, especially you writing craftsmanship. I would be most delighted to read anything new you have forthcoming, LW or otherwise. I would wish that your new environs inspire you, much as environs tend to inspire in a variety of manners (I know, I have relocated fourteen times during my life’s tenure, and each move brings out unforeseen surprises) and your note indicates that your inspirations have ready begun to take shape. I stand by awaiting your future masterworks.

I like the shorter revenge stories involving a cheating wife. You both seem to do very well with this type of story.

Congrats on the new digs and job. I for one would love an ongoing series that was spread out over say, 12-24 months. Maybe dropping one chapter every 1-2 months. I personally enjoy a bit of mystery with an unexpected twist at the end. (hint hint). I will take this opportunity to thank both of you for the ongoing entertainment your stories have provided me, as well as the inspiration to try writing some tales myself.

The many wives that you and Vande1 have so brilliantly written about over the years are anything but loving. I love your LW stories, but would happily read, and I’m sure I would enjoy , anything you write and post.
Personally, I enjoy almost all categories as long as they are well written, have a good plot and have a satisfying ending. . .sort of like what you two do best, so let’em fly. Understand moving and new joy endeavors so whenever you all are ready to publish again, I’ll be here to read. Good luck in your new adventure.

I have to say, my preference would be LW, however both of you have the credentials and have earned the right to expand and publish whatever format you wish. As with all stories, some will like it more than others, but to grow in any sphere, one has to push the boundaries and if you do so I will read it.. I am certainly not going to reject a story from you because of the category.
I do hope the house and job move went well.

I prefer stories upto 10000 words. That permits plot development and is yet compact. No doubt some stories are great irresof length.
750 words is a different format altogether.
I do t like very long stories as they don’t come quickly and one loses the plot.

I prefer a shorter story over a longer series, but I do not like those much too short 750 words stories that flood Literotica recently. What should IMO not be missing in a good story is the Angst of the narrator and a bit of suspense.

Hey Y’all, glad to hear from ya and that things are looking up. I’ve just about gone into withdrawal symptoms from the lack of a good Vade1 or CTC story to read. As for your question above, I’ll pretty much take just about any story from you, but there are some categories that just don’t interest me. A serialized story would be good, as I have been following one the last 4 months or so on Lit by UltimateSin and it’s been entertaining. Also, Also, qhml1 did a non-human story that tied me up in fits of laughter about Bigfoots and something in that vein would be interesting with a Vande1 spin put to it. And I always like a good short story. I’m glad to see that you both have just been busy and not having medical issues or something like that. Welcome back!
To be honest, either would work for me.
I have you listed as a favourite author, because I like your writing…the content is almost incidental.
I DO think you have a great talent for LW stories, as you encapsulate the emotion very well, however something of a different pace may be an extension of that talent that I would be keen to explore as well.
Either way, I’ll read whatever you put out there.

First of all, I am (and I am sure this reflects a vast majority of your readers) glad that you are both OK. Congratulations on the new job and a new home!
Second, you are offering us your creativity and work for free for our enjoyment. Obviously we crave more, but please do not feel obligated. Your life and health take precedence. We will wait for new work as long as we need to.
Third, to answer the question, I think for me it would depend on specifics. BTB is a part of what drew me to Vandemonium’s stories, so I am not completely sure if a departure from LW will be something enjoyable. I suspect it might be still fun, especially if the new story still centers on a plot instead of porn, and it contains the satisfaction of justice and karma (good or bad) being delivered to all deserving.
I would say that if you have a choice between LW and not and YOU as creators don’t have a preference, I would request LW. But if you prefer to try non-LW, you should feel free to do so. It’s YOUR work. If it meets with less approval than LW stories, you can choose to use that feedback or not, as you see fit.
